About

Empowering a Generation of Social Entrepreneurs

Together, we’re going to flip the economy green.

I originally began Eco Ally as an online resource for the people of my generation (Gen Z) who want to make a positive impact in response to the climate crisis, environmental injustice, and widespread biodiversity loss. I wrote about topics including the three most impactful ways we can make a difference with our lives — in the ways we live, work, and engage with our communities.

Since then, I’ve learned a lot about the true nature of the climate crisis and what it’s going to take to keep Earth’s warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Based on what I’ve learned since originally starting this blog, here’s what I’m doing differently:

1. I am advocating for a Green New Dealthe only plan that meets the scale of the climate crisis and puts people and planet over profit.

2. I am recognizing and affirming the necessity of Indigenous leadership in intersectional environmental activism.

3. I am stepping back from writing about topics on “sustainable living” in favor of holding corporations and governments accountable for their lack of meaningful action in response to the global climate crisis, biodiversity crisis, and environmental degradation via deforestation, air pollution, water pollution, plastic pollution, etc.

4. I am focusing my efforts on eco/social entrepreneurship, my personal zone of experience and genius!

Thanks for reading, I’m looking forward to beginning this new chapter with you!
